My name is Benita Powell but please feel free to call me B. I am a native of Columbus, Ohio and am currently living in a southwestern suburb of Chicago. I service clients in Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.

How I got my start 

One day my niece was preparing to sell her home so she had me review the photos that were going to be used.

I hated them. Let me repeat I hated them!

Without hesitation I packed a bag and hit the road for the 5 1/2 hour long road trip from Chicago to Columbus, Ohio. The next morning my niece, her husband and myself all rolled up our sleeves and got busy. I had them remove all unnecessary items while I organized and rearranged the rooms. That evening I had my nephew take down pictures and paint a few walls while my niece and I went shopping for new lamps, blankets etc. The next day the realtor sent a professional photographer to take pics and the day after that the house hit the market. The potential buyers realtor asked if the house had been staged. My nieces realtor said yes. The buyers realtor said the stager did a beautiful job because the buyers loved it!

Well the positive response to my nieces house from realtors and their clients was all the push I needed to start my own business, Be Staged By B.
